The GRACE Oral Presentation Assessment will commence in week 3.
ICT Reps from all classes had been informed on the procedure below. Please cooperate with them.
Instructions for Oral Presentation
Things to be prepared by the IT Representative of each class
Before the Oral Presentation
1. Collect all the powerpoint slides and videos(in a thumbdrive) from all the groups and upload it into the IT rep’s Macbook.
2. Get ready an adaptor to connect the IT rep’s Macbook to the classroom projector.
3. Tell the groups in the class the sequence of groups which will be presenting for the different days. (ie. Index 1-4 first, 5-8 second etc)
On the day of Oral Presentation
(IT Rep will inform the subject teachers before the GRACE Period to end the lesson earlier or on time.)
1. IT rep will get the whole class to sit at their seats.
2. 2 Groups will present each day.
3. Get the presenters to be ready and be seated in the front row.
4. Get 5 chairs ready at the back of the classroom for the teacher judges.
5. Give out the reflection sheets to each student. (The reflection sheets must be handed back to the IT rep at the end of the 7th week.)
6. IT rep will connect his Macbook to the projector and get the powerpoint slides for the two groups ready to be screened.
7. IT rep will instruct the Vice-Chairman to be the timekeeper.
8. Every group will have 10 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes for question and answer.
9. IT rep will get the first group to be ready for presentation even before the teachers have arrived.
Assessment of Oral Presentation
1. IT rep to remind the students that they will be judged on delivery, content and eye contact.
2. All students must speak during the presentation.
3. The teacher judges will have a rubrics class list to award points to each student.
4. The class must try to complete the presentations of 2 groups every week so that the oral presentation can be wrapped up by the 7th week.
5. If the class cannot complete the oral presentations within the 7 weeks, (due to time constraints or celebrations) then the 5 teachers in the class will plan make-up sessions with the class to complete the oral presentations.
6. The teachers will key in the scores in the Google Doc document (by James Peh).
